Abstract:

Rich will share his decade of “real world and practical” PKI deployment knowledge and experience, focusing on the technical aspects of how PKI is currently being used in enterprises today and how business applications can be PKI-enabled.  Information security topics will include using PKI/certificates for digital signing, encryption and authentication within a number of software and hardware applications ---- including VPNs, email, Microsoft Office documents, Adobe PDFs, web servers/browsers, networks and wireless infrastructure.  Two PKI models will be discussed, including developing an in-house PKI system vs. an outsourced/Managed PKI service offering.  Rich will cover the aspects of a Managed PKI service and the introduction of PKI/certificates within an enterprise utilizing a Security as a Service (SaaS) model.  AutoEnrollment and Web-based certificate enrollment will be covered as methods for deploying and provisioning certificates within an enterprise.
