Virtualization is currently one of the hottest trends in the IT industry. Virtualization can be used to accomplish server consolidation and containment, development and test optimization, business continuity, and desktop manageability. The benefits associated with virtualization include cost savings, simplified resources and the freedom to choose the hardware or software that users want to operate. Of course, the widespread deployment of virtualization brings with it new security concerns and also opportunities. In this meeting Kapil will provide strategies of how to maintain a secure architecture when migrating to a virtualized environment, best practices using virtualization to address security, and industry trends.
