Trustworthy Computing is a long-term, collaborative effort to provide more secure, private, and reliable Microsoft computing experiences for everyone. This is “a core company tenet at Microsoft and guides virtually everything” Microsoft does. ISSA Vancouver is pleased to present Microsoft expert Brodie Desimone. Brodie will provide an overview of the security features in Microsoft’s latest technology platforms including the Integrated Edge Security Gateway (ISA 2006), Forefront Client/Server unified malware protection and, particularly, Vista, Microsoft’s next generation desktop.

Brodie Desimone has been in the IT industry for over 15 years. For almost 10 years he founded and built an IT consulting firm focused on technology infrastructure solutions. Since then he has held a number of other roles including VP of Technology and CTO for local companies before joining Microsoft 3 years ago. In his current role he works with the top 15 companies in BC to understand and implement technology to solve their business needs.

On-site registration and networking begins at noon, and lunch will be served at approximately 12:15. The presentation will run from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, to be followed by an open discussion forum. Members and non-members of the ISSA are welcome but space is limited. Cost for the event is $35.00 for non-members, $25.00 for ISSA members and $20.00 for students payable in advance at our web site using Paypal®, or at the door in cash or by cheque payable to “ISSA Vancouver”. RSVP to to guarantee your seat. Please note that we require 72 hours notice of any cancellations, or you will be invoiced for the event since we are required to finalize the food orders.

ISSA members are strongly encouraged to join us at 11:30 for the Annual General Meeting. A quorum is required in order to elect the 2006-07 Board of Directors. You are welcome to come for the AGM, at no charge, if you cannot stay for the luncheon session.

Please note that the TCC has a business-casual dress code, and contact us in advance if you have special dietary requirements or would like wheel chair accessible parking so that we can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
