Auditing servers and desktops to ensure their ongoing compliance to an enterprise’s system security policy is rapidly becoming a requirement. Industry-specific regulations (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, FISMA, GLBA, etc.), failed external audits and other mandated directives are compelling drivers that require an understanding of the problem and the deployment of a suitable solution. This presentation will demystify Audit and Compliance, and its role in system-level vulnerability management, and describe the essentials required for a comprehensive and effective Audit & Compliance solution.  It will cover the audit process, challenges, key considerations, alternatives, automation and reporting, and provide case studies.

Steve Artick has enjoyed 15 years of computer security marketing and business development success during his 30+ year high-technology career.
